“Applied for this company through a third party application. I received a call and missed it. immediately received a text message from Eydie Timmerman, which was completely acceptable. I immediately returned the call to speak with her. Right off hand she was off Standish. Began asking me where I worked and why I left. I told her I was still currently employed. She then informed me my voicemail was full and stated I needed to fix it. I apologized and told her I did not realize it was full. I then asked if they had positions in Ohio as my husband and I had just talked the previous day about relocating. She said that it depended where and asked when I was moving. I told her we hadn’t made anything final, we were just talking about it, and that was why I asked. She then stated that I didn’t have my voicemail set up and that she had tried several times to contact me and how that wasn’t acceptable considering I was trying to find a job and she was trying to offer one. I told her I was confused, that I did have one and it must be full and that I had never received a call or email before today. She told me I didn’t need to be rude because she WAS going to offer me a job which in turn I pointed out how rude she was about my voicemail. She then told me that she wasn’t offering me a job with my attitude and hung up. Never once was I actually rude to her. She was very snooty, and rude. Not a company I would ever work for with that mind set. If this is how they treat their prospective employees I would hate to see how they treat their current staff. “Stanwood Iowa was hit by the derecho on August 10th and all of the town was without power for 8 days or more. On the 8th day as we were all cleaning up, 2 young gentlemen from Platinum were going around town in a rental car with no identification trying to sell supplemental insurance. We have 80 year old neighbors who were in the midst of throwing out the contents of their deep freeze when when this happened to them. We happened to walk by while the 2 young men were there, they would not write down any contact information and finally we got them to leave. I would never do business with a company who does this. “The hiring manager of the Topeka Kansas branch called my phone and was very rude.when I asked her the named of the company she ignored and dodged my question twice.she then asked me if I had a driver’s license I stated that I didn’t.i asked her the name of the company and she hung in my face.when I called back she hung up on me.i called again later to asked her the name of the company and why she hung up.she said you are not a good fit for our company. So I said so that means you dont have to respect me and hang up in my face.she acted as if she didn’t care and began to belittle me by telling me I didn’t fit the company. I told the lady I will be contacting my lawyer the conversation was recorded.this company is very rude and I’m am very offended I wouldn’t recommend doing business with this company at all. “This company is terrible!!! Do NOT do business with them. First of all you have to really dig into the sales people to get the most of the full story, it took me wanting to cancel the plan I signed up for to get the complete picture that they will never tell you up front.
Then when wanting to change from yearly pay to monthly was a nightmare. They were so quick to take my $700 out of my bank account for yearly pay and its been over a month now I have been waiting for my refund to change to monthly. If this is how they process a simple refund, I am willing to bet getting money for a claim is like pulling teeth. “I have 2 major cancer policies under the Platinum umbrella, Yes they did come “door to door”, but the company was founded with the farmer in mind, For the smaller businesses and individuals to have access to good coverage. I spoke with the company and have had them for years, They pay claims promptly, always kind and courteous, If and when you have a diagnosis, they will have an agent work with you to follow your care. They also have real people answer the phones. I don’t have to talk to an automated machine or push one for English. I definitely would refer my friends and family to them.”myra whitcomb
“I cannot rate the Company for their product because I didn’t listen to the sales pitch. We live in the county, where we have not had a door to door salesman in 3 years. As for the gentlemen who showed up on our property after we had been working all day we were not in a mood to invite someone into our house. I appreciate a guy or gal trying to make a living, door to door sales is already a difficult field to work. When you show up in the county or off the beaten path people are naturally suspicious. The guy offered No Business Card, (Really, a Company can’t provided a Business Card?) and provided no proof of what his business was or what he was selling. Especially in this day and age when all kind of crazy stuff happens. Within a matter of many minutes all of the neighbors in my area were ready to call the Sheriff Dept to have this Salesman ran out of Town. “Horrible company to deal with. First the salesman showed up at dinner time. We told him to come back another day. He came back LATE that night, told us it would take a few minutes, ended up being there several hours. THEN lied about the services covered!
Company was ridiculously difficult to work with as far as cancelling the policy and refunding our money. 9 days later and cannot get a response to when the refund will be deposited, or sent out. 9 days! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!”Savannah Wilson
